What if we can stop misogyny by teaching boys to not be insecure about their bodies, and that certain things do not and should not become something that will question their identity as a male. What if we teach guys that the gender roles are hurtful and are also oppressive to them as well.

What if we can child molestors by trying to understand their side of the story and telling them, “Hey, it isn’t your fault you live in a society that sexualizes children. You are a product of your own environment.” Before we decide to mock them, we should try to see and understand their side of the story, and only then can we truly put an end to child molestation.

Have you any idea how idiotic everything you just typed is? By coddling someone, you are enabling them. This is what’s already being done with misogynists. Believe it or not, but in the real world, misogynists are thought to be products of their environment and their hurtful actions are considered excusable. Men’s problems are already the focus of the majority of society. That’s the reason feminism exists in the first place. What you are suggesting is that the way to put an end to misogyny is to make it so that the world even moreso revolves around men, specifically white heterosexual cis-gendered men and that will make the world a better place. That even organizations designed to to help PoC, transgendered/gender fluid peoples etc, homosexual/sexually fluid/bisexual peoples etc, disabled people and women (etc…lul!) with their issues should revolve around men, rather than their own struggles.

Most of what men suffer is the result of misogyny, and I think it pretty much goes without saying that misogyny impacts women moreso than it will ever impact men. Men are taught they must be masculine, that they must be stronger, smarter, saner and more successful because women are weaker, dumber, crazier and lazy and women are bad therefor if a man is in any way comparable to a woman, then he isn’t a real man. Misogyny effects them because them being anything like us is supposed to be an insult. But that misogyny effects us in more crippling, dangerous and sometimes even deadly ways. And while there’s a such thing as internalized misogyny, the misogyny that is most crippling is that which is taught through the grapevine of superiority and at the top of that grapevine sit, you guessed it, heterosexual cis-gendered males of european descent.

The reason their are groups designed to give these people of minority race, sex, gender, (i’m not sure what class you’d put the mentally/physical disabled into, but that) and even the majority economically challenged is because our voices are largely unheard in this system. So movements are created where we can finally get together and make our voices heard, and fight back against the social, economic, physical, verbal and emotional violence used against us in every day society. To suggest that we should give that up and allow the one thing we have going for us to revolve around the very demographic who oppresses each of these groups, the very demographic that holds the most privilege and power, not just in america but in ALL of the western world and much of the rest of it, is not only laughable, it’s ludicrous.

I know that you’re trying to say that men are affected negatively by patriarchy, as well, but there are much better ways of addressing that without suggesting that everyone forget their own struggles and focus on those instead - the struggles of the people negatively affected by that which was put in place to protect them, rather than the struggles of the people negatively affected by that which was put in place to destroy them and succeeds in more way than one. In case you haven’t guessed, that’s everyone else.

Yeah, no. Take your feel-good bullshit elsewhere.
